Six Amazing Female Athletes over 55

This post is sponsored by adidas, however, all comments, opinions and enthusiasm remain my own.

Age is just a number,” may sound like a cliché quote on accepting the inevitability of growing older, but I actually very much believe in the words. As a lifelong running and fitness aficionado, I have always been inspired by those other athletes pushing the limits of physical and mental toughness in the peer groups ahead of me. As a young kid, I looked up to the teenage Olympic gymnasts, as a mid-20s marathoner, it admired the amazingly fast endurance athletes well into their 30s – which at the time, seemed so old! woman push up workout adidas

Total Body Express Workout, 20 Minutes at Home with Total Gym

This post is sponsored by Total Gym. I received product and compensation in exchange for my time and editorial consideration. However, all opinions remain my own.

Whew. As a working mom, I literally sometimes can’t get it all done. So, when I’m really pressed for time, I try to squeeze in a short morning run and then jump on my Total Gym® later in the day for a quick, light workout to tide me over. Continue reading

Three Full Body Sandbell Workouts

I use Sandbells frequently for total body conditioning and specific strength improvements, like grip. They seem to be the weight of choice at many boot camps and fitness competitions I’ve participated in (like CG Games) and also provide a great workout for my Spartan training. Sandbell Burden Run jennifer fisher
