So yummy and comforting -- serve over mashed potatoes, sweet potato, grits, rice, cauliflower rice or whatever you can think of!
Set slow cooker timer on low for 8 hours. Add lid.
In last hour of cooking, mix together the slurry of arrowroot powder (or cornstarch) and water. Stir into slow cooker and let continue to cook. This will thicken up the cooking juices to make gravy.
After thickening, season with salt and pepper to taste.
