To keep the protein count higher in my pumpkin protein bars, I use  Clean Lean Protein from Nuzest in the Smooth Vanilla flavor. It’s made from premium pea protein and provides all nine essential amino acids (those our body can’t make), while remaining a product that even vegans can incorporate into their diets. All Nuzest products are natural and free from all common allergens and you can save 15% by going through my affiliate link HERE. No gluten, dairy, soy or GMO — and no added sugar!

And, speaking of sugar – I’ve ditched it and used Allulose to sweeten. It’s not an artificial sweetener with almost no calories or carbs, it’s natural and is derived from seemingly random foods like figs, raisins and wheat (don’t worry, no gluten here). Stevia in a granulated form would also work just fine in this sugar-free recipe.

    • so many ways to use the Nuzest 🙂 plus it kinda reminded me of PUMPKIN chocolate chip cookie dough . . . which should be a THING

    • Super easy to make! And to tweak if you want to add seeds or nuts instead of the chocolate chips.

    • Thanks! I agree, having something easy and healthy on hand to go with coffee in the morning is a must!
