My family’s gifts for a fit Christmas are already wrapped up and under the tree, and I (errr, I mean Santa) have been busy rounding up healthy stocking stuffers. Chocolate, candy canes and sugar plums (what ARE those anyway) don’t really make sustaining fuel for our active lifestyle which collectively includes running, obstacle course racing, hiking, gym workouts, yoga and assorted team sports. So, instead, I’ve rounded up a bunch of Sugarless, Sugar-Free and Low Sugar Treats for Healthy Christmas Stocking Stuffers – check them out for your own family’s festivities.
Read on to find healthier snacks and drinks suitable for Christmas stockings, some are homemade and others conveniently packaged and ready to go!

Sugarless Sugar Cookie Cut Outs: If you are in a homemade mood, my Sugarless Sugar Cookie Cut Outs are fun to make in any shape you like, decorate and stick in a stocking – or, leave a plate out on Christmas Even for Santa himself!
Sugar Free Collagen Puppy Chow: Another DIY holiday treat to package up is my Sugar Free Collagen Puppy Chow, a crunchy sweet snack (like Chex Muddy Buddies but way healthier) – it even features Great Lakes Gelatin collagen for additional health and protein boosts. Use my discount code GLGthefitfork20 to save 20 percent.
Elemental Superfood Bars: I’m a nutrition bar snob but admit these Elemental Superfood Bars are hard to beat. In fact, I don’t think you can as they use the best non-GMO organic ingredients available and are compliant with dietary lifestyles including raw, gluten-free, paleo and dairy-free. I really appreciate they are higher in protein and Omega-3s and Omega-6s than many bars (thank you raw seeds) and, of course, taste fantastic — not too sweet, just sweet enough. Another think to love – a portion of the proceeds from each bar goes to fund autism research. Try out this 12-count variety pack (4 different flavors) of Elemental Superfood Seed Bars from Amazon.
Flavors of Elemental Superfood Seed Bars : Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cranberry Almond Lucuma, Mulberry Cacao Spirulina, Currant Cacao Hemp Seed
MixABar Organic DIY Energy Bars: These energy bars are great for the healthy snack enthusiast in your life who likes that feeling of accomplishment, but doesn’t really want to put in too much effort – haha! You don’t have to be an expert chef or nutritionist to make a batch of healthy nutrition bars at home — MixABar does most of the work for you. Just mix together the pouch of dry mix (featuring organic ingredients including whole grains, plant protein, nuts, dried fruits, etc.) along with a bit of water and scoop out into a pan. After they set up in the fridge for a while, you can cut them into bars and devour – no cooking required! Of course, I had to take ANOTHER shortcut and ended up scooping the dough into silicone cupcake molds (and topping with some crushed sugar free peppermints – because, HEY, it’s the holidays)! The flavor I tried was Cranberry Almond Fudge and I give it a big thumbs up – this would be fun to leave out instead of cookies for Santa!
Onnit Keto Box: Stuffing the stockings of low-carb people can be tricky – of course, candy canes, chocolate bars and even Santa’s trademark orange in the toe of the sock can be a no-no to some. But the Keto Box from Onnit is an awesome way to keep them on track with their dietary lifestyle. This specially-curated monthly subscription box is delivered right to your door packed with snacks, treats, supplements and more for Keto, paleo or otherwise low-carb living. Here’s a peek at this month’s box – you can find out more HERE.
Celsius Fitness Energy Drinks: After a late night elfing around on Chrismas Eve, most anyone I know would be thrilled to wake up and find a can or two of Celsius in their stocking. Celcius a sugar-free energy drink that provides a boost with no jitters and no crash. It’s only made with good stuff, no preservatives, No Artificial Colors or Flavors, No High Fructose Corn Syrup, Low Sodium and Gluten Free. Lots of flavors, and if that’s not enough – they have clinical studies showing it can BURN off 100 calories per can. This is a great way to get a jump start on those New Year’s weight loss resolutions. Comes in Non-carbonated and Carbonated (sparkling) flavors – I tried flavors of Celsius I tried (but there are more!): Sparkling Grapefruit, Sparkling Kiwi Guava, Non-Carbonated Peach Mango Green
Athletic Greens: Add some much needed “greenery” to the season with Athletic Greens, a convenient superfood, micronutrient drink mix that features 75 clean ingredients to boost nutrition. I always say, when your nutrition is on point, your “game” is on point! Simply mix into a glass of cold water, blend into a smoothie, etc! I’ve forced down a LOT of different brands of green drinks and this one, I can honestly say, actually tastes quite good! Plus, even when eating sugar free treats, you still need to be mindful of your overall nutrition and supplementing with Athletic Greens will definitely help see you through until better habits are re-established.
Here are some other classic candy stocking stuffers (in sugar free or low sugar options) that would be ideal to soothe the sweet tooth of those o na low-carb, keto or diabetic diet. Includes sugar-free Altoids, sugar-free Starlight Peppermints, sugarless Gummy Bears, no sugar Jelly Bean, and stevia Chocolate Bars, sugar free Caramel Corn and more.
